This is a 1996 fender Tex Mex Stratocaster with a maple board, this guitar was the predecessor to the Jimmy Vaughan Strat, this guitar was only built between 1996 & 1997. This guitar is in excellent condition for 29 years old. Comes with gigbag. The 1996 Fender Tex-Mex Stratocaster was a popular Made-in-Mexico (MIM) model, especially notable as the Jimmie Vaughan Signature Strat, offering a classic '50s vibe with hotter, bluesy Tex-Mex pickups and a comfortable 'V' neck, available in finishes like Sunburst or Sonic Blue, and known for being a great value, albeit with basic electronics some found nasal but perfect for overdrive blues.
