The base is very heavy, weighing 2.5kg alone and has HINKS 3608 on it. This is a lovely original brass oil lamp (No.2) by Wright and Butler of Birmingham. It was in full working order and used by my father for years, but sadly has spent the last 20 carefully in storage.
