Curta Calculator 1953 Type 1 Mechanical Calculator No. 21913 Case Working Order

I discovered this calculator when clearing my late father’s effects - he was a marine engineer in the 1950s. The Curta Type 1 was first introduced in 1948 by Curt Herzstark, who worked on the design while being held in Buchenwald concentration camp during the Second World War.
