The special clay granulate contained in AquaBasis serves as a nutrient storage depot, releasing nutrients when there is a deficit and absorbing them when there is a surplus. Spread a 2-4cm deep layer of JBL AquaBasis Plus plant substrate as the base layer in the aquarium and cover with a layer around 5-8cm deep of JBL Manado or other suitable aquarium gravel with a grain size of 2-3mm.
