The Adafruit GPIO Expander Bonnet expands your Raspberry Pi by a further 16 digital inputs and outputs. The 16 I / Os can be reached via two 16-pin connections. Each I / O has its own GND pin and can be configured either as an output or as an input with an internal pull-up resistor. Each output delivers up to 20 mA - enough to connect simple LEDs directly.
