Use a good quality synthetic varnish brush and apply evenly using light brushstrokes. This high-quality lacquer dries to a hard, crystal clear dead flat, satin or high gloss finish. When applied over emulsion/latex paint, it is possible that the lacquer could draw certain stains through the paint, which would not otherwise be visible.
