This is a lovely plate manufactured by Wade Royal Victoria between 1950 and 1969. It is cobalt blue with a central image depicting a courting couple in Georgian dress. It is signed but despite all efforts, I have been unable to decipher the signature. It is fluted with a gold edged border. The picture is transfer printed. The front of the plate is in very good condition but the back is stained as though overheated. I have not tried to remove it for fear of damaging the maker's mark and so have priced it accordingly. It measures 10.5 inches in diameter.
