This cassette deck powers on, with expected lights illuminating. It will fast forward and rewind tapes without issue. The timer displays a count. However, when a tape is inserted, a slight buzz mechanical sound is heard from inside the machine. The deck wants to engage the play function when the button is hit, but it tries and disengages after a second. Sold as-is.
