Incredibly rare to find Beswick model number 769 - Duck with a ladybird perched on its beak, designed as a nightlight holder, very sought after by collectors. An early piece, I believe it dates from around the 1930s-1940s. The bow around the neck of the duck turns into a handle to carry the nighlight at the back of the duck. The front is the opening for the nightlight. Height is approx 15cm. In good condition for age and use - some light specks of paint loss to the beak and some age related crackles to the glazing.
