If no headboard then divan can be placed such that drawers open on either side. Fitted with holes for a headboard, drawers are on left side of bed if lying on it with head at headboard end. Drawers in full working order, no faults or flaws, fabric on all sides is unmarked, two areas of very slight marking to the top surface (see photos), caused by mattress label - won't be visible once a mattress in place!
