This is a really neat unrestored box, this was something that sat on a work bench the last 75 years, the lid is much lighter then the rest of the box as it was exposed as much to air , the finish everything is original , I think I would do a detailed cleaning and leave it alone, there are a lot of places doing period correct set ups and that would fit the bill (NO Key ) the lid must have been stuck one time as the owner pried it open and there is section of wood missing, even that I thought about fixing but just adds to character , I would not restore this one, needs a detailed cleaning and polish , maybe there I something to clean the felt or you could replace that the tiger oak is fantastic
