The anti-vapor lock formulation maintains reactivity and performance by counteracting vaporization and viscosity loss. Advanced chemistry resists corrosion and oxidation and is compatible with SBR, EPDM and natural rubbers. It offers a very high dry boiling point, is non-aggressive and safe for paints, plastic surfaces, clothing and the like. Note that DOT 5 silicone is not hygroscopic, so it does not absorb water like normal brake fluids do. Therefore, the braking system must be emptied 100% to avoid pockets of water remaining anywhere in the system, which could cause the "vapor lock" phenomenon and total failure.
