Specially shaped & uniquely serrated gripping jaws - unlike other pliers, these screw pliers won't slip (or slip off). As long as the outer edge of the screw can be accessed by the plier's jaws (i.e. the actual screw's head must not 'inaccessible down a hole /recess etc),then these pliers will grip & remove the problematic screw!
