This mic looks very similar in shape and size to the far more common SM-58. The PE86L is identical to the PE85L except that the PE85L has the built in on / off switch as where this PE86L does not. This mic has more of a mid range tone despite it's low Z setting as where the SM-58 was very heavy on the bass.
