For sale is this fantastic solid wood carved and hand painted rooster mounted on natural wood base and signed by artist and decoy carver Kenneth "Ken" Sangrey, of Lancaster County PA. Expertly carved piece, nicely detailed and beautifully painted. The rooster stands just under 10" inches tall including the stand. Mr. Sangrey, 1933-2021, was known locally as an avid carver of decoys as well as folk art whimsical pieces which he and his wife sold at folk art fairs along the eastern US coast.
