This is a delightful and unusual porcelain Patch Stand from the 19th Century. It is hand painted with floral and leaf decoration with gilt decoration in a spiral around the piece. It is in good condition apart from some wear to the gilding around the top edge . The stand has a solid plain white top with a slight dip in it in which to put the patches. It is a continental piece, possibly French where beauty patches or “mouches” were particularly popular. It measures approximately 4 cm in height and approx 5 cm across the top. Thank you for looking.
