Not sure when the path was laid, but gravel quarried from Gloucestershire is usually known to have high numbers of marine fossils due to the area being a shallow inland sea during the jurassic era. The Fossil is tiny, as shown in the pics with a ruler shown for scale, barely 2cm across.
