This chassis is a lightweight military trailers produced by SS Cars Ltd during WWII. Chassis No 26579. It was built to be towed by a standard Jeep, had a load carrying capacity of 10 cwt (½ ton). Has overrun operated brakes with a separate hand parking lever, towing is via a 50mm ball socket. It has fitted folding handles both sides to aid handling. New brake shoes. Trailer has been services with brake linkage and bearings greased. The tub is a standard Land Rover Series 1 and good condition for the age having no dents.
