1/48 scale plastic model of Republic P-47D Thunderbolt made from the Tamiya kit. The cockpit has been detailed with an Eduard etch set. The wheels have been replaced by more detailed resin ones. The gun blast tubes have been replaced by finer brass tube. The model has been airbrushed with a realistic metallic finish and subtly weathered. Markings depict an aircraft flown by American ace Captain Fred Christiansen. The finished model will be packaged using my tried and tested method. This usually results in the model arriving intact however models are very fragile so please be prepared to carry out minor repairs if there is some damage. See my feedback.
