Please find for sale a superb set of original Art Nouveau Copper finger plates, x 5 of the typical rectangular shape (each plate measures 11” x 2.75”) please see photos) & one “T” shaped (20” long x 9” wide longest point) intended for a vestibule or lobby door. Fully reconditioned to a very high standard, the large singular plate has never been used or fitted, this plate is Copper on tin whilst the others are solid Copper. Interesting fact: the Victorians & Edwardians used Copper extensively on their tactile hardware, because germs can’t survive on the Copper surface. Rare set in great condition.
