Note that this is a Hi-8 machine so designed for Hi-8 tapes, but it will play back 8mm/Video 8 tapes as well. We have recorded a test film in which we have checked the zoom moves smoothly at all speeds, the autofocus works and locks quickly as it should and that different lighting situations are responded to correctly.
