This is a European walnut root wood. In order for this type of wood to be obtained, the trunks must not be sawn off above the earth, but must be excavated. This type of wood captivates with a particularly distinctive, expressive drawing that gains life with many vertebrae and color combinations. The colors are light to dark brown, mouse gray, often whirrled and with a more or less pronounced strong splint area. The annual rings are usually discontinued and result in a striking floral or streaked texture that are enlivened by black color strips.
