It measures 12” high, about 8.5”. at their widest, and about 4" deep when the hinged shelf piece is horizontal. The shelf folds up to about 1" thick when not open. The bottom of each horizontal shelf has a faded sticker which reads Made in India. To open, swing the hinged bracket perpendicular to the wall piece, then swing the horizontal shelf on top of the bracket. There is a brad on the top of the bracket which fits into a groove on the bottom of the horizontal shelf.
