The oak wood is dry, both sides are not planed but are still completely raw and rough-sawn, cut with a circular saw, possible dark/black spots are only superficial and caused by drying, possibly rustic wood = possibly knotty/ingrowths/veins, wild growth, hairline cracks, insect holes (only visual - not living!)... Only available as a rough cut, due to the fact that the wood has not yet been planed and can be very rough, we usually have approx. 1mm removed, the wood is usually not flat when unplaned, a little curved - which is completely normal and typical. This wood is usually planed to approx. 22-24mm. The thickness can fluctuate and vary approx. +/- 1mm. The dimensions are measured from minimum outside edge to maximum outside edge.
