We believe that it is in the Napoleon III style, and was likely made in the late 19th or very early 20th century. It is best described as a deep/dusky red colour with swirls of grey and white. It is designed to look like a bank of drawers, but in actual fact drawers 2 & 3 conceal a drop down cupboard that is fully marble lined that would have been used to house a chamber pot.
