The 1981 British pound banknote was issued by the Bank of England between 1981 and 1984. Its obverse features a portrait of a young Queen Elizabeth II, a medallion with the caduceus, cornucopia and olive branch inside. The reverse highlights Sir Isaac Newton and some of his contributions to the advancement of the scientific field on its reverse side. The banknote has a watermark that reveals Isaac Newton. It also has a solid security thread. It measures 135 mm by 67 mm. This banknote is in uncirculated condition.
