Photograph Notes: The original arch [[[805747]]] on West Cliff was made from the 20ft jaw bones of a Fin whale presented to the town by Norway in 1963. These were replaced by 15ft bones from a Bowhead whale presented to the town by the citizens of Anchorage and North Slope Borough, Alaska in 2002.
