A rare, 18th c. Old Master British chiaroscuro woodcut print by John Baptist Jackson (1701-1780), after the original painting by Jacopo Tintoretto. The woodcut is in 4 colors on heavily embossed (a signature of some of Jackson's innovative techniques) laid paper, and it it actually the right page of a two page print titled, 'The Miracle of St. Mark' (alternatively titled 'The Martyrdom of a Servant'). A rare and nicely preserved example, the colors still strong. The paper is attached to a mat from the top but unsecured from the sides and bottom. The entire sheet of paper, not just the print area itself, measures approximately 25" x 18.25".
