The brass lid decorated with a very good quality depiction of the famous Willow Pattern design. Condition is very good, the area the handles join the brass has air/dust corrosion - last photo - you could easily polish this away but the brass has the lovely dark gold tone that brass gets when it's been polished and not touched for decades.
