The adapter also has a M48x0.75mm internal thread so that it screws on any M48x0.75 male thread (=2" filter thread) that is often found with large scopes (eg. 30-90x100 spotting scope). (For example, the Nipon30-90x100 zoom spotting scope has M48x0.75 male thread on its eyepiece base).
