This is a precious and rare Franziska Hirsch bowl, produced in Dresden between 1901 and 1914. The black is a fluted bowl with a folded edge, it is entirely hand painted with a swag of roses and bows. There is some wear to the decoration along the edge of the flutes but no other damage. A lovely bouquet sits at the base of the bowl. There a two small handles, decorated with a gilt bow and a hand painted gold filigree along the edge. Flowers decorate the outer side of the bowl as shown and a very fine gold line defines the base. It is signed on the base with the Hirsch hallmark and the production number 2296. The bowl is in excelling condition with no chips, cracks, discoloration or repairs.
