You can decide what length you will need to reach the waste outlet from your caravan, and then it's a case of simply expanding the tubes to the required length and connecting them to each other. - The rubber end is designed, so it can also attached to the standard 2 way "Y" connector which then goes straight into your waste outlets, or you can connect directly to the standard 29.5mm waste outlet(s).
