This Leather Wrapped Hippo Statue is a handmade figurine of a hippopotamus with open mouth bearing 4 plastic tusks, glass eyes, and lots of detail tooled into the brown leather adding texture. Popular during the mid-century modern aesthetic, this hippo is 13" x 8" x 5", and weighs 1lb 2oz. Gently pre-owned (purchased from an estate sale), it is in very good artisan vintage condition, with ears, tail, tusks, legs all intact--please see photos. This particular hippo has a great facial expression, a nice collectible for animal enthusiasts, and lovers of African safari or vintage wildlife decor.
