Lidded that could lock closed with a lock that is meant to go through the side lock mechanisms. Hinged. Hammered copper with information about it edged into the side on one side which I cannot fully decipher. Measures 8" in diameter x 6 1/2" high. Designs all around the hinged lid. Excellent condition with only ordinary oxidation. Estimated to have been made in the mid to late 1800's.
