The pattern is a stylish and popular modern Design, with a rose motif on the handles and is very attractive. They are good quality pieces in what looks to be the original box, this is solid wood. The join in the wood at one side of the back has a gap as shown, but this may tap back into place and doesn't affect the closure of the box.
