This is a trumpet in the keys of B flat and A by J V Bourdon, 22 Shoreditch High St, London. Beautifully engraved, and with only the minor dents which you would expect of an older instrument. A simple rotary valve changes the pitch from B flat to the key of A, and there are tuning slides for both keys, though I’ve not found it necessary to always change the tuning slide when changing pitch. Both tuning slides have new springs on the water key, and I have replaced all the valve springs as well. It comes with the original mouthpiece, too. It’s a lovely instrument, but it is not getting any use these days, so it’s got to go. Please see my other listing for a trumpet in D, too.
