Many of my peer acts liked the sound of this mic when I was using it live at a couple of showcases andI tend to wander about out-front on gigs and this really is a step up from the "standard". Just so you know the 431 is a truly delicious mic, but live is more suited to a female voice or male with a lot of cut like Dave Grohl.
