The Start was manufactured by KMZ from 1958 - to 1964. It has a unique breech-lock bayonet lens mount, and a cloth focal plane shutter with a wide range of speeds from 1 to 1/1000 second. The viewfinder screen has a dual prism rangefinder in the central area and is detachable.
