This purchase is for parts or repair- Im hoping its something simple,it was my grandmothers and I would love nothing better to give it a new life. The body is in excellent, like new condition. All the buttons work, play, rewind, f forward, stop/ eject and pause. The problem is there is no sound when playing a tape, although, I was jiggling the cord around and was able to hear the music for a short time, it had a good sound. And then no sound again. I tried again but couldnt get it to play the second time around. Maybe a short in cord? I dont know but Im not mechanically inclined so putting it out there for someone who has the time and knowledge. Thank- you
