Gorgeous Chinese Vintage Antique Red Lacquer Wooden Wedding Rice Basket / Box in fabulous condition. Purchased in an antique shop during a trip to China 20 years ago. Measurements: 29cm Diameter (at widest point) x 28cm H (top of handle). Basket has a wonderful carved birds design on the base of the handle. This vintage Chinese wedding basket / box is a rare and beautiful find. Its origin and exact age are unknown, but its antique/vintage charm is undeniable. The wedding box has age-related cracks and the metal strap on the base has snapped (See pictures 6 and 20) but nothing that detracts from its beauty. If you have any questions, let me know.
