Vertical Counter-Pressure Retort The vertical counter-pressure retort is a small-to-medium-sized sterilization device controlled by a microcomputer program. The sterilizer uses electric heating to directly inject water into the sterilization chamber, where it is heated to produce high-pressure steam required for sterilization. This steam is used to sterilize items that need to be sterilized. After the sterilization process is completed, the items inside the chamber are rapidly cooled within 3 minutes using externally connected compressed air and water pressure, bringing the temperature of the items down to 30–40°C. The sterilizer is equipped with a programmable control system that allows it to operate in two modes: Boiling disinfection: Set at a temperature of ≤100°C. Rapid cooling pres.
