Really nice early 1900's crazy quilt. Velvets, satins and silks in rather small patches (2x2 average size). Each seam is adorned with a decorative stitch. A few areas of floral pictoral embroidery, but not much. As always some fabrics hold up better than others, there are patches were the fabric has completely deteriorated and some that are trying to hang in there. Mostly the silks. The backing gives me the date range in this lovely floral ticking like fabric in light blue & pink. A very fine linen, which is NOT from the US. The maker so adorably finished top & bottom edges in a tiny buttonhole/blanket stitch. Could use a gentle Orvus bath soak. 66x76
