The Forestry Building in Portland, Oregon, known as the world's largest log cabin, was built in 1905 for the Lewis & Clark Centennial Exposition. Designed by Ion Lewis, with assistance from A.E. Doyle, it served as a forestry museum showcasing the Pacific Northwest's timber resources until it was destroyed by fire in 1964.
