An original late-Victorian cast-iron fireplace with decorative arched opening and floral spandrel detailing, likely manufactured by J. & R. Howden & Co., Glasgow. The rear bears foundry markings “No. 144 20×15”. Complete with integral mantel shelf and original fireback bearing a floral boss. It’s a classic example of 19th-century craftsmanship, ideal for restoration or period interior projects. The fireplace has been painstakingly removed from a period property refurbishment. Dimensions: approx. 63 cm W × 100 cm H × 22 cm D (mantel 77 cm W). Condition: structurally sound, minor surface rust under paint, no visible cracks or replacements. I also have another fireplace listed - please see my listings…. Collection only.
