Antique Hand Painted Porcelain Plate Limoges? Donath, Gold Gilt Rim & Grapevine

This antique hand-painted porcelain plate features a beautiful design with a gold gilt rim and hand painted grapevine and grapes. According to antique app Curio, it was likely made in Limoges, France between 1900-1920 in the Belle Epoque or Art Nouveau period. The decorator’s mark is smudged but is for E.W. Donath, a competitor of Pickard China. The round Donath plate, measuring 8.75 inches in diameter, is adorned with a floral pattern and multicolor palette typical of antique French style. There are lovely shades of green, yellow, red, and gold in this vintage porcelain China plate.
