Very cool antique piece, estimated to be from around 1850! Measures 18 & a half inches long, about 6 inches wide, 3 inches tall. Does have some wear- most notably a crack in the front. Please see all photos for condition! Brass bed warmers were popular from the mid-17th to the early 20th century, peaking in usage during the 18th and 19th centuries. These, often called warming pans, were filled with hot coals from a fireplace and moved between sheets to heat beds in cold, unheated homes before being replaced by hot water bottles and electric blankets in the early 20th century(1903).
