Made for Fortnum and Mason by Crown Devon , around the late 1950s , showing the understated opulence of that time, this is an appealing and evocative piece. The decoration shows the famous Fortnum and Mason clock on Piccadilly . The jar still retains part of the gold label indicating the original product it contained and is in very good condition, although there is a degree of general wear and crazing commensurate with age, please see photographs.
