As standard the Edge 800 is preloaded with Garmin's basemap. I used Ordnance Survey for mountain biking (which isn't supplied). There is a micro SD slot for this purpose. Speed, cadence and heart rate sensors/monitors (not supplied) can also be linked to the Garmin for more accurate data.
