This is a very cool Aventurine (a type of quartzite) tomahawk/axe head. Very compact head with cutting blade and a spike on the other side. The head is mounted to an incredibly durable handle, made of American Hornbeam. Hafting and wrapping materials are artificial sinew and genuine leather. The handle has been finished with a polymerization of beeswax and linseed oil. Guaranteed personal find from Dane County, Wisconsin. 19" overall length, 4" head width. ***Intended for display only, but I made them tough, so they'll work in a pinch.
