Vintage 1930’s/1950’s Art Deco Smith’s Mantle/Desk Clock this is a genuine vintage piece. A Smith’s ‘Tempora’ model clock. Made from marble effect Bakelite in pale pinks with orange streaks which is an early plastic invention. Columns at the side with metal brass effect plates top and bottom. Brass effect roman numerals dial/face. See photos of back for mechanism which is battery operated. It does ‘tick’ when i put a battery in, but the hands did not move around on the front, so sold as repair/decorative item. Probably just needs a bit of oil. Size 9.5” wide x 6” high x 2.25” deep. With ‘Made in England’ on back and ‘Made in Great Britain’ on front dial.
